Bakersfield Roadrunners Track Club was established in December, 2009 and competed in its' inaugural track season the following spring.
Our primary goal is to introduce young athletes to the running and field sports in order to establish a lifetime of fitness excellence. In addition, we try to instill proper form and technique so that our athletes can compete at maximum performance levels. We believe good mechanics offer better results and a higher chance of injury free exercise.
Bakersfield Roadrunner Track Club practices three time a week during each of our seasons. Practice nights are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. During the track season we practice at the track on the campus of California State University, Bakersfield. During the cross country season we practice at Riverwalk Park. Times vary so please call for details.
We are also proud members of USATF and AAU youth organizations. These are the organizations that host Junior Olympics and are the venue for us to compete at the national level.
Whether you're an elite youth athlete or interested in establishing lifelong fitness habits, the coaches and teammates at Bakersfield Roadrunner Track Club are here to help you reach your goals. |
